Last spring we were absolutely nuts and decided to sign up for a second session of basketball at the same time as baseball season. Which meant a total of three games and three practices per week. (At the same time Aubrey was being transported to daily rehearsals for her play and we were welcoming Brandon home from a mission. It was a busy time.)
Basketball
This is a pretty intimidating sport to play - it moves fast and is pretty aggressive, even at the 2nd grade level. But Joseph has worked really hard. (I never did get any good basketball shots in 2013. In the top picture Joseph is #11 and the bottom he is #2 - one picture from each session last spring).
He practiced shooting baskets so much in our driveway that he popped several balls! He is a very accurate shooter.
Baseball
Another competitive sport around here . . . baseball. Joseph has played one year of Tball and two years of baseball for Hazel Dell Little League. He has greatly improved his batting, throwing, and catching abilities. In several games last year he saved the game with his awesome 1st baseman moves. (I will say that it's too bad that some parents take the game so seriously at this very early level. I like to just see the kids having fun!) We spent many beautiful and some cold days watching baseball games last spring.
Look at those long legs! Outfield can be booooorrrrriiiinnnnggg.
Soccer
Fun times . . .
