Last Spring Break friends of ours invited us to go to their timeshare in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We gladly accepted!

We stayed in a nice resort in Nuevo Vallarta. Our girls helped watch after Joseph and the Crusan's three young kids. Besides swimming in the ocean and the pool, we did crafts by the pool-side, sipped pina colada drinks, sunbathed while reading, and played card games.
Riding a boat to the main city of Puerto Vallarta.
Treasures from the crazy markets in Puerto Vallarta.
My friend Kristi and I attended Zumba classes at the resort each morning with a REAL Latina Zumba teacher. She was ruthless! She would make us do the dance sequences over and over and still sighed and pronounced our efforts "barely acceptable." There's nothing like shame and peer pressure to force us into a great workout!
We enjoyed Mexico and felt very safe inside the resort. (Although were a little shocked by all the police with automatic weapons on the road between the airport and resort.) We have great memories of hanging out with friends, soaking up sun, trying to find food at Walmart when everything was written in Spanish, massages for the moms and golfing for the dads, nonstop water fun for the kids, and enjoying authentic Mexican food.
