Love Day 2018

Our family's holiday traditions are getting increasingly poignant as our kids are growing up, because it's sad to not have all our favorite faces around the table when we gather. This was Aubrey's last Valentine's Day at home. We partied the very best way we know how.

The morning started with a few gifts, heart-shaped pancakes, and pictures before school.
That night we had our traditional Valentine's Dinner. We loved having Elder Porter and Elder Pilling with us, and it was fun to share our traditions with them.
After dinner we took a few pictures and had an impromptu piano recital (Aubrey and Joseph both played a piece).
Last week I helped with a Valentine's PTA fundraiser at Joseph's middle school. It was so great to get to see him in his school environment! Here he is, writing a Candygram to one of his friends.
And that's it. Happy Love Day!
