Check out this fancy restaurant

On our anniversary - the 28th of December - we didn't feel like going out. We had just returned from vacation and were kind of partied out.

Aubrey and Joseph put together a plan to make us dinner - all by themselves! (Bailey was gone at a friend's house).  And they did. While we relaxed in the den, Aubrey ran back and forth with questions . . . "How do you know if something is boiling too hard?" "How high should the stovetop be to cook something sort of cheesy?"  "Which tablecloth can we use?"

Finally we were escorted into the dining room. On the menu: cheese quesadillas, sliced bananas with peanut butter, orange slices, and no bake cookies.

It was a delicious and thoughtful gift given by two amazing kids!
