Grandma and Grandpa Springer visit the Northwest

Last May my parents came to visit for Joseph's baptism and Brandon's missionary homecoming. They were able to stay for a week so they could watch Aubrey play Clarissa in "Little Women."  I found these pictures on the computer as I was working on catching up our family history/blog and they made me laugh out loud.

My Dad is the best!

He had Bailey tutor him on doing an appropriate "fish face."

One day we drove to Portland to get lunch at the food carts. Poor Brandon was coming down with a cold and felt lousy.
This was the closest we could find to Ukrainian food (Georgian street food - that's Soviet Georgia, not Southern U.S. Georgia).
While in Portland we found an Apple store so Mom could buy her iPad Mini (which she loves - just as Aubrey told her she would).

We watched Aubrey perform in the beautiful Newmark Theater in Portland.
These pictures were taken after the performance - they weren't allowed to come out in their costumes.
While they were in town, Dad helped with several handyman projects.
We wish that our house had one more bathroom to accommodate guests better. But, we make do and Mom found a creative place to sit to get ready (the desk in the homeschool area).

We always enjoy our visits from Grandma and Grandpa!
