From the time when Bailey and Mianna were this age
they talked about how they would grow up and always be friend cousins.
The best kind of friends, who have been there for each other throughout all their lives.
This picture makes me laugh.
When they got a little older they started planning the graduation trip they would take together.
And finally, in August (after both of the girls finished their first college term) their dream became a reality. Bailey, Mianna, Laura, and I flew to San Diego to spend a weekend together to celebrate the girls graduating and moving on to new challenges.
The girls had talked on the phone during the summer and planned out our adventures.

The original plan included renting bikes and riding around the island, but it was so unusually hot and humid that day, and we just couldn't do it.
Bailey found shade under a palm tree while we made our next plan.
Our plan was a good one - we walked past all the gorgeous historic homes near the beach, picking out our favorites. Then we cooled off while we ate lunch at a delicious pizza place. (This was the only meal when we didn't eat Mexican food. The Mexican food in San Diego is just amazing!)
Afterward we shopped. I couldn't bring myself to pay $40 for this pillow, but I love it!

And then, after cooling off in the hotel for a few hours we headed out to La Jolla beach to boogie board.
On Sunday morning we attended church and then walked around the San Diego Temple until it was time to say goodbye.
We wore ourselves out with our partying, but it was so fun to be with some of our very favorite people in the world!
