The girls in YW, that is! A few weeks ago Bailey and I spent a Saturday hiking to Punchbowl Falls with the YW in our ward, in preparation for Girls Camp. It was a drizzly day, but that didn't deter us (drizzly and wet is the norm around here for most of the year). It was a nice hike and the trail included a number of precipices with super long dropoffs (kind of thrilling, actually). The girls had an even more fun time when we reached the falls and ran into a Scout group from Hillsboro, OR. (Nothing cheers up tired and wet girls like the sight of a group of teenage boys).
Bailey and Cassidy
I am so impressed by the older girls in our ward. They do an amazing job looking out for the younger girls. A few of the Laurels have made it a tradition to pick up a new Mia Maid for her first Stake Dance, take her to ice cream, and then take her to the dance and make sure she has a great time. Isn't that impressive! Here is a shot of Bailey just before she left to her first dance. Rebecca McDonnell picked her up.
I enjoyed embarrassing Bailey by taking pictures as she left to the dance.
Aubrey and Dan were leaving at the same time, preparing to go on a daddy/daughter date to a movie. They felt left out, so I took a picture of them, too.
Mooooom . . . . . . you are so embarrassing (can you hear Bailey saying that?)
