Our little scientist Aubrey shared her science fair experiment at Eisenhower Elementary on April 21st. Brandon had flown into town that day and was able to join us.
After the demonstrations representatives from OMSI shared science experiments and some science puzzles.
For her experiment, Aubrey studied how distractions affect the ability to endure pain. She had her subjects place their feet in ice water for as long as they could handle it. Then she tried it again with the subject's other foot, but this time the subject was able to play a DS game. Not surprisingly, she found that the distraction of a video game allowed people to endure the pain longer. She used classmates, family, and some of Bailey's friends as subjects.

That's a pretty cool experiment! Alyssa did her science experiment on the effects of salt on ice.
